Myth. LM6000 natural gas units use aero-derivative technology to process fuel efficiently, and they also have sound controls, unlike jet engines that do not have sound controls. The natural gas units come equipped from the manufacturer with package sound suppression (air intake and vent silencers) and multi-stage stack silencing baffles. Sound modeling shows that any sound at nearby residences will comply with the EPA threshold for public health and welfare.
