The project location was selected not only to have access to MEC's electrical infrastructure, natural gas and water supply, proximity to existing solar fields, but also for its rural location with no residential structures being closer than a mile. The feasibility and cost of site construction were also taken into consideration to reduce the overall cost of the project and potential impacts to the nearby communities.
